• Question: would it affect us if one of the planets vanished within the solar system?

      Hi again 2cvenus!

      No, it wouldn’t make a big difference to us – that’s because our main interaction in our solar system is with the sun, which is very very heavy, and then the moon, which is very very close (which causes tides). So unless it shattered and hit us, it wouldn’t make a big difference to our orbit. But we would miss it in the night sky!
