      Hi gpap08!

      Because of chlorophyll in grass, which uses blue and red light energy to convert carbon dioxide and water into sugars and oxygen! So all that’s left to bounce back at you is green. Here you can see how much of each colour of the spectrum chlorophyll absorbs. It’s also got the curve for carotenoids – so all they leave behind is yellow and red – orange carrots!
