Body water is in lots of different places – two thirds of it is inside cells (many cells are shaped just like tiny water balloons), and the rest is in blood, lymph fluid, between cells and inside organs (like urine in kidneys and bladder and tear fluid in eyes).
All this water is really important as a solvent for transportation of nutrients (like blood), as a medium for excretion of toxins (like urine), to control body heat (sweat) and to lubricate joints and absorb shock.
