• Question: Why doesn’t alcohol freeze?

      Hi meg!

      It does – but not until you cool it to -114 °C (-173.2F)! But then you could make frozen ethanol cubes for cocktails, but they’d be difficult to use and much too cold to lick!
      So that’s why alcohol is used in anti-freeze, because it doesn’t freeze until it gets much colder than your average winter night!
