• Question: why do we have two nostrals

      Hi cammyhappy,

      That’s because we have two of lots of other things as well – we’re built to be symmetrical by default, with some exceptions of our inner organs. Even our mouth is symmetrical – OK, it might only be one mouth, but you have two sets of each tooth, on either side!
      We could easily live with just one nostril in the middle, but it might make our nose floppy if the middle bit is missing, and it would look well weird.
