      Hi gpap08,

Eyes actually stay open a little if they’re totally relaxed – try it! So people who sleep with their eyes a little open are even more relaxed than other sleepers! People who’ve had a stroke and can’t control their muscles on one side of the face often have that eye a little open. Continuously open eyes are much more likely to get infections, because they’re not being cleaned and desinfected with every blink! But with sleeping it’s not so bad, because you will close your eyes every so often.
A permanently open eye can actually be fixed – with a gold implant in the eye lid! It makes the eye lid just heavy enough to shut when closed.

Do you sleep with your eyes open?

      🙂 Sarah
