• Question: why do certain adult diseases affect young people?

      Hi itsspaigee!

      There aren’t really any “adult” diseases – there are “child” diseases and then there are “people” diseases. Although many diseases don’t happen until we get old, there’s still a small chance of getting them as children.
      Same goes the other way round – some diseases that people think only children get, like chicken pox, are just as infectious for adults, but most adults have already had them so they don’t get ill a second time!
