hiya – If I were to be awkward I’d ask different to what? 🙂 I guess you mean to each other.

I reckon the easiest answer is its down to the differences in our genes and in fact you need differences in a population in order to survive and drive evolution.

If every individual in a population is genetically exactly the same they are far more prone to mass extincition. so differences keep you health and are a good thing

      Hi 08764654765375437543737dominic,

As humans we share all the basic DNA that makes sure we’re alive and look human, but some genes have two or three types that will affect how tall we are, what colour our hair, eyes and skin is, whether we’re hairy or not, whether we’re male or female, whether we are short-sighted, prone to getting cancer later in life and in what shapes exactly our faces will grow. So there are lots of options here!

Also, we each have two different parents, and four different grandparents and eight different great-grandparents, so there are lots of different combinations of all these people’s genes that result in each one of us being totally unique – except for identical twins!

      🙂 Sarah
