Hiya erilys – I was an only child but I have 3 children and i have to admit the younger one has to get more attention. They need more physical help with things so the older one has to get left to fend for themsleves more. I’m hoping as they get older (currently 10, 7 and 3) I’ll be able to split my attention more euqually between them.

Hi eirlys,
I’m the oldest, and I got lots more attention than my little brother! But that’s because both my parents were younger siblings and thought it would be fair to also pay attention to the older one as well as the younger one. How about you? What do you think?

I am the youngest & I used to get away with anything when I was a kid – I just blamed my brother. I don’t think I got more attention but I was very cheeky! When I lived abroad I think my parents paid my brother more attention because it was easier to contact him, but now we live in the same place so I think we get equal attention 🙂

I’m the youngest (by miles), but I have a friend that acts like my younger brother! So I suppose I get equal attention.

I have an older sister and a younger brother, its awful because i get no attention, my older sister gets loads because shes the first girl and is doing exams my younger brother gets loads because he’s a mummys boy and my mum is majorly over protective! the youngest and oldest sibling in every family doesnt realise how much attention they get
