      Hi freddieh,

      It’s the ethanol in the drink that acts as a central nervous system depressant – which basically means it makes you relax! This means it is actually a toxin, because in higher quantities you can actually die of poisoning. Small quantities very frequently can also cause lots of side effects and make you ill.
