• Question: What are nits and why do they like hair?

      Hi meg!

      nits are little insects, and hair is the habitat they’ve evolved to live in – they glue their eggs to hair, they feed off dead skin around the roots and they hide in it. It’s a very safe environment for them, unless they’re discovered and special shampoo treatments ensue!
