      Just fine 🙂
its an interesting and varied job. Sometimes it can be stressful with a lot of work to get done, sometimes its frustrating when it doesn’t work – you need patients and determination. But it can be very rewarding and most of all its good fun and enjoyable. I think its probably a lot like most professions.

Hi savannahrocks. Its great! I have always been interested in science since I was at school and I have just carried on doing it. Now I get to do something I enjoy as a job and that always makes going to work in the morning more fun. Like Karen says it is also quite varied and you face different challenges every day which keeps it exciting.

      Hi savannahrocks,

      It feels great!

Sometimes it’s hard work and it can be very long hours, but I can’t imagine doing any other job. I feel so lucky that I get paid to find out about things that I would probably be looking at in my spare time anyway! 🙂

Hi savannahrocks, it is interesting and varied work, and you’re at the front line of finding out how nature works! I feel it’s about important things, like helping find cures for diseases and making people’s lives better. I also really like working at a university, where you have people from all parts of the world (my team of 5 is from Canada, Peru, Scotland, Brazil and Greece) and lots of students too. One thing that’s really nice is studying something, and when you finish the work, you’re the world expert on that topic! I feel proud to have become a scientist, because I don’t think many people thought that I could or would be a scientist when I was your age. Do you want to be a scientist?
