Hi itsteeyah! I have to do lots of analysis on anything I make to work out what it is. NMR spectroscopy helps me determine the structure and shape of the molecules. Mass spectrometry tells me how heavy it is and Infrared spectroscopy shows me how the atoms are arranged. I haven’t made anything that could be used as a medicine yet, but hopefully I will have some soon. When I do I will test these on glass plates, against lots of different diseases and medical conditions to see if they have any potential as new medicines. Thanks for your question.
