0 Question: how do bones grow? Keywords: bone Asked by yowitsangeline to Amy, Karen, Sarah, Will on 20 Jun 2012. This question was also asked by itsspaigee.
Sarah Martin answered on 20 Jun 2012:
Hi yowitsangeline,
Bones are constantly taken apart and put back together again by special cells called osteoclasts and osteoblasts – to grow, osteoblasts ramp up their activity and build more bone than usual, in the right places, and there you go!
