      HI itssmeemayaa,
Well when it rains, fresh water falls onto the ground (or into rivers and lakes) and will absorb salts and minerals as it travels back to the seas. Once the water is back into the sea, some of it will evaporate back into the sky to form clouds and the salts and minerals are left behind!
      Thanks for the question! 🙂

      Hi itssmeemayaa,

There is actually a NASA mission that measures the saltiness of our ocean, and whether it’s changing, from outer space! Check it out!
