• Question: How did the big bang start ?

      Wow that’s a tough question, I’m not a physicist! I don’t think that it is fully known how the big bang started, in fact I think that is one of the big unanswered questions in physics! I would suggest looking up Prof. Brian Cox, he has done a lot of tv and youtube videos explaining all about space and the universe.

      Hi CrystalB10, very good question. Unfortunately im not a physicist either and like Amy says I don’t think anyone really knows yet, but lots of people are trying to find out! As well as Brian Cox, one of the most famous is Prof. Stephen Hawking who has also written books and made TV programs about his work. Hope this helps!

      I am actually a physicist, and the fact is, nobody knows – we know what happened a split second AFTER the start of the big bang, but not the start. But if you find out, you’ll definitely get a noble prize!
