No, unfortunately not. The liver is absolutely essential, as it cleans our blood. If we put too many toxins in our blood – like for example ethanol (also known as alcohol in drinks) – and give the liver too much cleaning work to do, the liver gets damaged, and many people die from liver failure as a result of drinking too much alcohol. A new liver can however be transplanted from a healthy (but dead) donor under the right conditions!

No, the liver is a very important organ in our body. It gets rid of any nasty toxins that we have in our blood & can store energy. It is also pretty cool organ, when it gets damaged it can sometimes repair itself. This means that people can donate a part of their liver to someone else who needs it and it will be able to grow into a full size liver!

The liver is an essential organ so you need to have it there and working. It helps with food digestion as well as cleaning up, but you can get away with donating a large chunk of your liver (I think upto about 50% of it) because if its healthy it is able to grow back.
