      Yes it can!!! and I bet you have seen lots of these already today! Anything that comes in a pressurised can or cylinder from deodrant, furniture polish and spray paint to bbq gas cylinders and oxygen tanks for divers contain gas that has been compressed to much higher pressures than air. That is why deogerant comes out of the can very fast when you push the top.
