      Hi cassie!
That’s a great question! A lot of the time we have no idea what animals are saying to each other, but there are some species that we have been able to decipher! For example vervet monkeys have 3 different alarm calls for birds, snakes & predators in trees (like chimpanzees) and we have recorded these and have worked out what they mean base upon the monkey’s behaviour: when they call to say there is a snake, they all run into trees and when they call for an eagle, they all run under the trees!
