• Question: why is salt good for healing wounds?

      Ooo aww ow – that’s sure to hurt to put salt on a wound.
      To be truethful i didn’t know it was!
      But high salt concentration can stop a lot of bateria growing so I guess it could act as an anticeptic, so helping healing and stopping infections.

      Yup, it’s an aniseptic! But it can also irritate your skin, and make it scar worse – I have a scar from scratching my foot when I was diving a lot, and it’s an impressive scar! Alcohol is better for desinfecting, but hurts, and even better than that is iodine!
