      Hi hector10,
Well dogs are not as smart as humans, so we couldn’t really treat them the same! Dogs wouldn’t understand what to do if we took them to school and tried to teach them maths! 😛
Dogs are very sociable animals and are used to living in groups, so when you have one as a pet they think of you as their pack! In the wild, all packs have alpha dogs who are the bosses and so when we tell them what to do we are just making sure that they know we are the alpha dog in the pack. They are perfectly used to this, and actually get more confused and stressed when they don’t know who is boss.
I hope this answers your question 🙂
