      Hi Meg. The lowest temperature ever recorded naturally is – 89.2 oC in Russia, but the lowest temperature that has been achieved with special equiptment is – 272 oC, by scientists at MIT which is just above absolute zero (0 Kelvin) which is the lowest theroretical temperature anything can ever be and it has absolutely no energy of any kind!
