      No, I haven’t. But I have discovered new protein molecules (composed of the elements carbon, nitrogen, hydrogen, oxygen and sulphur). There are actually very few elements in the world, compared to all the interesting combinations they come up with!

      Hi Candybell101, no I haven’t. Finding new elements is REALLY hard! We have already found all the elements on the planet that are made during everyday life because they are all around us. If you look at the periodic table a lot of the elements towards the bottom (in the two rows that are seperated from the rest) are made by radioactive decay of other elements. This is a bit complicated to explain but basically they lose part of their atom which changes them into other elements. There are still other elements to be found from radioactive decay but the problem is they only exist for less than 1 second so they are very hard to find!
