No. In my science, I don’t want to hurt animals, and I don’t want to work on science used for guns or weapons.

No. I do use animals in my studies but there are very strict rules and regulations that come from the government that mean I can’t do anything that is harmful or distressing to animals. In fact, in the past I have looked at ways that we can improve how we look after animals in science. I would never agree to any studies that deliberately hurt animals.

Hi 11sferguson. I don’t do any work with animals at the moment and I hope that in the future I won’t have to do anything that harms animals.

No. As Amy says there are VERY strict rules to make sure that the animals do not suffer in any way. I do work with mice, and I have given mice injections but theres no more than a momentary stinging for them and it does not harm or stress them in any way. If you think on it the worst bit of having an injection yourself is the waiting to have it done – the mice don’t know so don’t worry about it so its not nearly so bad for them.
