• Question: Do hot drinks cool you down?

      Yes they do! Hot drinks make you sweat, and that’s a really effective way to cool down all over!

      Hi meg,
      I have to disagree with Sarah here! Although a hot drink will make you sweat, because you are full of hot drink you have to cool down just to get back to the temperature you were originally so it won’t really help!
      A cold drink warms up in your stomach to body temperature by drawing heat from the cells around it and this cools you down, whereas a hot drink will cool down to body temperature inside your stomach by passing heat into the cells around you and this will warm you up.
